I’ve been trying to find out how my very Republican precinct voted in the District 23 run-off election between Bonilla and Rodriguez and came across an analysis of why Bonilla lost at the Right of Texas blog. Notice how it’s never how Rodriguez won but Bonilla lost? There may be some truth to the statement, [...]

I know I should just get over it but I thought the following was such a concise indictment against the San Antonio Express-News endorsement of Bonilla in the run-off election.

I was hoping he would but I have gotten very used to being disappointed in Texas politics. I try to understand why people in San Antonio and Texas, good hard-working people who are [...]

If anyone is interested in looking beyond the attack ads, the San Antonio Express-News has a nice story on the differences between Bonilla and Rodriguez.

Finally, some of the San Antonio media besides the Express-News are starting to pay attention to the campaign. WOAI’s trouble shooters checked out Rodriguez’s ads and found them to be true. Unfortunately, they’re true for both Bonilla and Rodriguez. They’ll be looking at Bonilla’s ads next.

Being the “underdog” is a role I’ve embraced throughout my life…When I first ran for Congress, experts said I had no chance to win…Once again, we’re the “underdog” [...]
