Not much…
In reference to the economic bailout crisis, Scott Stroud of the San Antonio Express News sates the following:
Re-election bid in time of crisis has Rodriguez laying blame
Despite all the blame-laying, it’s worth noting that neither McCain nor Sen. Barack Obama chose to exploit the crisis for political gain — at least not much.
“At least not much?” Suspending your campaign to work on the bailout but continuing to do interviews and attend fund raisers is “not much?” During said suspension, never actually setting foot on capitol hill with the negotiators and accusing your opponent of “calling it in” is “not much?” Claiming your intervention resulted in a bill that failed to pass is “not much?” And then saying it wasn’t the time to place blame and in the very same breath, blame you opponent is “not much?”
Scott Stroud’s connection with reality? “Not much.”
