This can’t be good
AUSTIN — House Speaker Tom Craddick illegally funneled $150,000 to three key Democratic allies he needs to keep his hold on power, a public watch group alleged Monday in a complaint filed with Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle.
Craddick transferred $250,000 from his campaign fund to the Texas Jobs & Opportunity PAC on Feb. 4, the same day the group gave $50,000 each to three House Democrats who have supported Craddick: Aaron Peña of Edinburg, Kevin Bailey of Houston and Kino Flores of Palmview.
Texas election law prohibits speaker candidates from using political funds to help their candidacy.
Well, well, well, this can’t be good for him. I hope they hurry up and finish the investigation and bring charges.
