If he hadn’t lied it wouldn’t have mattered

Starnes tells KENS 5 the City of Eagle Pass was not collecting on big money due it from certain parties.

KENS 5 covered the story when news about funding for some services was cut. The issue was later resolved.

“But at that time, I made several enemies and stepped on several big toes that control that community,” he said. “One of the reasons that I was chosen for this position is because I didn’t know any of the sacred cows. I had to terminate some employees, and they were related to several individuals.”

Before long, a package was sent anonymously to the council showing problems with Starnes’ resumé.

After some back and forth, Starnes was fired, which the Eagle Pass city code allows them to do at any time.

Now he is not only unemployed, but radioactive as far as any future employer is concerned.

I watched the Kens5 interview with Glen Starnes and I came away with it with the same feeling I went into it. He still minimizes his lies by calling it “puff” and of course he is blaming everyone but himself for the fact that he got caught and lost his job. I really just wanted to shake him and say if you hadn’t been a liar there would have been nothing for anyone to use against you so shut up and fade off into the woodwork.
