What’s really important in the newspaper
For those of you who don’t get the newspaper, the Express-News made some changes in its comics.
The changes reflect results of recent E-N reader polls, which tells me if you have favorite comic strips, don’t hesitate to tout them in future polling.
I remember the poll. I just don’t remember the part where they had “Retro Geek” as one of the replacement options. I haven’t always been thrilled with some of the changes but have usually found some redeeming humor in the new comics. But none have set me on edge the way “Retro Geek” has. They’re giving up a four panel strip for this? I’d rather have “Spiderman” back and that’s saying something. I’ve always thought “Spiderman” moved so slowly that you really only need to read it once a week anyway to stay up with it. All I can think is that they got a really good deal on the strip–and it shows.

I was willing to give Retro Geek a chance at first, but now I’m fed up with it. It is cyncial, mean-spirited and humorless. They need to dump it and bring back Curtis!
