6%, not a big number people. We didn’t even get in the double digits. On the bright side of that my vote counted for 16. The statewide turnout wasn’t much better coming in at 8%.

All of the constitutional propositions passed. You have to wonder what 75,154 people statewide were thinking voting against abolishing the office of inspector of hides and animals but what can you do. It does make you wonder if the people voting have any clue what they are voting about. Four of the five local school districts asking for a higher tax rate were voted down. Only Edgewood had their rate approved and by a very small margin, only 52%.

I suppose it is time to move on to the next election. I have been ignoring it because I think they start campaigning way too early and there are just too many yahoos in the field to get worked up yet.
