MySA.com: Official resigns amid feuding
The controversy surrounding Floresville City Manager Juan Cedillo took a new turn Tuesday when Howard Berger confirmed that he had resigned as city attorney a day earlier.
City officials said Cedillo asked Berger to resign and falsely claimed he was acting at the request of the City Council.
Berger referred all questions to Cedillo, who declined comment.
Problems began to surface around Cedillo a few months after he took office, with council members calling for a review of his performance, which grew to discussions about firing him.
At an Oct. 1 special meeting to discuss his termination, Cedillo kept his job by a 3-2 vote.
