Cop to drop suit against brain-damaged toddler’s family | Chron.com – Houston Chronicle

CASSELBERRY, Fla. â€” A police sergeant who sued a family with a baby who suffered severe brain damage from a near drowning because the officer slipped and fell in a puddle of water at the house will drop the lawsuit, her attorney said Thursday.

David Heil, who represents Casselberry police Sgt. Andrea Eichhorn, said he plans to file paperwork to that effect as early as Friday.

Good!! She shouldn’t have ever brought the suit to begin with. None of us should have to worry that if we call 911 we might get sued by the officers who are supposed to be there to protect and serve. I am sorry she got hurt but when you are responding to a drowning don’t you expect for there to be water. That is sure chutzpah for you.
