PYOTE — A caseworker who was reprimanded after raising concerns about possible sexual misconduct at the West Texas State School said he feels vindicated by his recent appointment as assistant superintendent for the juvenile prison.
A whistle-blower wins and keeps his job. Way back when I took a seminar on “the individual in bureaucracy,” basically why and how to have a cya file, none of the whistle-blowers had a personal happy ending. Oh, many succeeded in changing the organization but their careers never recovered. So it’s nice to see someone who stands up for what is right and doesn’t suffer for it.
