Floresville in an uproar
FLORESVILLE — Some residents here let out a sigh of disappointment Monday night when the City Council voted not to terminate City Manager Juan Cedillo.
“Oh my God,” resident Grace Perez said. “I’m very disappointed.”
Perez, along with 80 other residents, packed City Hall for Monday’s special meeting that put Cedillo’s job on the line.
After the council voted not to terminate Cedillo, residents quickly gathered outside the council chambers and began calling for a recall of three council members in a frustrated effort to restore the “ethics” of the city government.
What a mess. I understand their frustration. Grace Perez is right that the only way to make a change may very well be to recall 3 of the members of the city counsel.
