Sure he is thinking about Texas
Perry hitting the road, speaking out
For a governor who maynever run again for anything, Rick Perry of Texas appears ready to hit the campaign trail next year — for any Republican anywhere.
“I may not be on the ballot,” Perry said in a warmly received speech at the California Republican Party’s state convention Sept. 7, “but I will campaign next year like I am, in Texas, in California and anywhere else I can spread the word.”
Gov. Rick Perry impressed delegates at the California Republican Party convention in Indian Wells, Calif., ‘in a way that touched every single person in the room,’ a California party official said.
With his zeal and his travels, Perry, 57, has presented himself lately as a governor who doesn’t want to coast through his second full term.
How about he just stays home and does his job? The small percentage of Texas that did vote for him didn’t vote for him so that he would travel the country and campaign for other people. His focus should be on Texas not his future political asperations.
