Meet another of my neighbors

So the consensus seems to be that the two term limit is fine. But I still have to question the ability of some of my neighbors to make appropriate analogies.

MySA.com: Letters to the Editor

I spent 22 years in the U.S. Army, including three years for schooling. I had eight assignments (jobs), three of which were for a year or less. I learned the requirements for each job in fewer than four weeks.

If it took me any longer than that, I would have been forced to resign from the service.

Well, isn’t that nice. The situations are just so similar! I’m sure that the gentleman not only learned his job in fewer than four weeks but was working another job full time while doing it. Because how else could he compare his job with that of a council member who can’t possibly live on the council salary of $20 a week?

And he did spend one full day a week in meetings where basically anyone from the public had the right to come in and share his or her two cents worth?

I’m sure that once he received his assignment he had to build a consensus with 12 other persons of equal rank who were under no compulsion to cooperate with him?

If people want term limits, fine. But for this person to compare his job situation to those of the council members would be laughable except for the fact that probably the majority of San Antonio wouldn’t find any flaws in his reasoning.
