The Devil made him do it and she believes him
GALVESTON – Satan was scared of a man’s preaching and compelled the man to place his 2-month-old daughter into a microwave oven, where she was seriously burned, the baby’s mother told a Houston television station.
“Satan attacked him because he saw him as a threat,” Eva Marie Mauldin, 20, said of her husband to KHOU-TV.
A Galveston County grand jury indicted Joshua Royce Mauldin, 19, last week on child injury charges after hearing evidence that he placed his daughter in a motel microwave for 10 to 20 seconds.
The infant, Ana Marie, remains hospitalized. She suffered burns on the left side of her face and to her left hand, police said.
Ms. Mauldin told the television station that her husband is “not the monster people are making him out to be.”
How very sad. He is exactly the monster that people are making him out to be. He is the monster that put his 2 month old daughter in a microwave and started it. She is the monster that is defending him. I desperately hope that Child Protective Services takes the mothers illogical defense of the father into account and baby Ana Marie gets removed from both. Crazy, crazy, crazy.
