McCurdy doing a disservice to Christians

MySA.com: Politics

A former pastor, he says the Almighty tapped him to run for mayor, and that part of the agenda God gave him is property tax relief.

McCurdy, 53, advocates cutting the property tax rate by 10 percent — though he isn’t sure where in the city’s budget to make up the lost revenue — and he’s opposed to the proposed bond package.

Can I just state the obvious here. God doesn’t care about San Antonio’s property taxes. Seriously, I have seen this a dozen times or more under Patrick McCurdy’s name and it makes me angry every single time. We have our sons and daughters dying in droves in Iraq not to mention the thousands of Iraqi people dying. There is a genocide going on in the Sudan and hundreds if not thousands of other atrocities going on throughout the world but God thinks that San Antonio needs a 10% reduction in our tax rate? Mr. McCurdy, you are doing a disservice to your beliefs by spewing this garbage. This is one of the reasons that atheist’s believe theists have inferior intelligence.

  1. JAJAJA. McGurdy is a nut-job. I can’t believe some of his campaign slogans. He is a terrifying candidate, and the fact that some people like him is even more so. The last thing we need is some schizophrenic that thinks God is telling him to cut taxes, jezzzz. I hope San Antonio voters do the right thing and DO NOT elect Patrick McGurty. Unfortunately, his rhetoric is part of a trend that has gripped the nation over the last couple of decades that threatens our constitution and pluralistic society.
