Crownridge Canyon Nature Area opened last year after the city used aquifer protection sales taxes to purchase 200-acres and protect it from development. Blasting and bulldozing at the Post Oak Development project next to the park, however, has caused numerous boulders to roll into the park, snapping trees and damaging the park.
Developers are building a retaining wall to prevent any addition problems, but city officials told News 4 WOAI they are considering legal action.
So why did the developers think that it was okay to allow boulders to roll off their property to begin with? Makes you wonder what else they let off their property because they don’t think anyone would notice.
