Gosh, this one is really sticking in my craw. I am trying to just let it go and move on, but it isn’t working. These people are just not stopping. I had someone today reply to a very old post about Katy saying “hey you failed to mention that they asked Craig Baker and his family to get off the land they have been on for 100’s of years.” People, that isn’t what happened, they NEVER asked him to get off his land only that he take his animals and fences (yep, that is right he had built fences on land that he did not own) off the land they own. This is not an unreasonable request. They bought the land, it is theirs, there is no in between here, no shades of gray, he was using their property for his cattle, he doesn’t get to do that. Now if you read his side of the story he tells you he graciously took them off the next day when he didn’t have to for 180 days. Taking them off the next day is about the only right thing Craig Baker has done so far.

He will tell you on his hate filled little page that this is just not his fault at all and that he has been gracious and charitable to the KIA from day one. Give me a break, even if we take him at his word (which I wouldn’t) he is one of those little gnats that just keep buzzing around. Through no fault of his own, he became the person to gossip with about this, of course it isn’t his fault that EVERYONE called him to talk about it and I am completely sure that when they did call him that he was such a great guy that he used that gossip time to alleviate everyone’s fears and not stoke the fire more. I am hoping the sarcasm in that sentence was evident.

Of course, he and his hate-filled friends put up another website. I am loath to link to it here because it is just horrible, but I will link to three pieces of correspondence they have on the site. The first two are letters from Craig Baker to the KIA. This letter dated November 13th is interesting because at no time in the letter does he mention that they asked him to “pack up and leave.” In fact, if you have the time and gumption to read it you will see that he just wants to insert himself into their business. He just wants to offer his sweet self in service to them as a broker of a deal that doesn’t actually exist. He commiserates with them about how bad the neighbors can be and threatens them in several ways but because, of course, Craig Baker is a real stand-up guy, all those threats really don’t come from him they come from those mean neighbors.

The second letter dated November 28th which it isn’t clear was delivered mentions that the KIA seem to be upset about his “ongoing agricultural endeavors” and our sweet Craig Baker doesn’t understand why they would be. Now, let us not forget that he very publicly decided to host pig races on Fridays as a protest over them using their land. Of course in his letter that sure isn’t mentioned, in fact if you read it, you would think that he was absolutely saying the pig races had nothing to do with the KIA at all and they are just being big meanies by being upset by his mean-spirited fun. I would like to point out here, yet again, that Muslims don’t eat pork, that doesn’t mean they care if anyone else does or care if there are pigs in the vicinity, which sort of tells you how bright Craig Baker was when he decide pig races were the way to go.

On December 1st the KIA’s lawyer responded. The letter is 4 pages long but more than worth the read because if you take the hate-mongers word for it the KIA is being totally unreasonable, if you read the letter you will see nothing they say is unreasonable. Interestingly enough, while both of Craig Bakers missives seem to come from fantasy land and have very little resemblance to reality the KIA’s lawyer does bring up the reality of the situation. Yes, he does threaten legal action, I would have to say that any of us would do the same thing given these circumstances.

What they are doing in Katy is disgusting. Don’t believe their rationalizations or their fantasyland version of events. Tomorrow night the spectacle will include face painting and sponge bob is coming.

If you happen to have gotten to this site because you were looking for the petition Craig Baker and friends have started, you sure won’t find it here but before you go, let me just enlighten you a tad. If me and my friends hand you a petition with 10,000 signatures saying you can never use your stove again, does it stop you from using your stove? Of course it doesn’t, in fact any self-respecting person that knows their rights would walk over to that stove and burn the petition in front of us. They can get a million signatures and it wouldn’t make a darn bit of difference. So, think about that before you put your name out there on an anti-islamic petition of any kind. You don’t know these people, I can tell you they have a unrealistic view of truth and you have no clue what they will do with those names. I can tell you what the petition won’t do, it won’t stop the building of anything anywhere because the KIA has a legal right to build on their own land so all you are doing by signing a hateful petition is putting your name out there as anti-islamic.
