Two quick stories
Armed robber remembers to lock getaway car — but keys were inside
Friday, December 29, 2006 LUFKIN — An old habit prevented an armed robber from evading police after holding up a Lufkin service station in Lufkin Thursday.
According to police, 27-year-old Lee Arthur Thomas had the money and was out the door. He even remembered to park his car discreetly around the corner and leave the engine running. But he forgot one detail — to leave the car doors unlocked, said Lt. Mike Shapaka of Lufkin Police Department.
I am feeling a little lazy this morning but ran across this and thought I would share it. He left the car running so he could get away but then locked it so no one else would steal it hehehehehe. The police have to love it when the bad guys make it that easy for them, even if they hadn’t picked it up while he was looking for a ride, his locked running car would have been an easy find and led them right to Lee Arthur Thomas.
I also found this which I thought just said it all.

1,000 PEOPLE SPELL OUT “IMPEACH!” IN PELOSI’S DISTRICT

January 6, 2007 — Over 1000 people gathered in Nancy Pelosi’s district, on Ocean Beach in San Francisco, to spell out the message “IMPEACH!” “America is a great country,” said event organizer Brad Newsham, a local cab driver and author. “But President Bush has betrayed our faith. He mislead us into a disastrous war, and is trampling on our Constitution. He has to go. Now. I hope Nancy Pelosi is listening today.”
A majority of Americans share Newsham’s sentiments. A 2006 Zogby poll found that 52% of Americans agreed with the statement: “If President Bush wiretapped American citizens without the approval of a judge, do you agree or disagree that Congress should consider holding him accountable through impeachment?”
I am sure those silly conservatives are going to discount this because it happened in San Fransisco but it is certainly not a sentiment that is contained only in California.
