Sorry, couldn’t help myself.
My point is the Express-News’ treatment of the Rodriguez-Bonilla race should prove once and for all that the newsroom and the editorial page are unrelated. They’re all paid by the Express-News, but they’re in separate locations, don’t interface on editorial policy, and do not discuss how political races are covered.
Based on the so called “facts” used in the endorsements, I would venture to say that the editorial board doesn’t even bother to read what the newsroom has reported.
