If You’re Interested in Something Other Than Attack Ads
If anyone is interested in looking beyond the attack ads, the San Antonio Express-News has a nice story on the differences between Bonilla and Rodriguez.
Politically, here’s as much as Republican Henry Bonilla and Democrat Ciro Rodriguez have in common: They served together in U.S. House of Representatives for eight years.
What they actually did on Capitol Hill differed sharply, giving voters in Congressional District 23 a choice that isn’t clouded by much ambiguity. They split over issues ranging from the Iraq war to tax cuts to the impeachment of President Clinton to campaign finance reform.
I thought it actually did a pretty good job of getting to some of the nuances of their differences. It’s certainly not the definitive analysis of the differences between the two but it is definitely worth the read.
