Dallas Morning News 36% expected to vote
Saturday, November 4, 2006 Texas Secretary of State Roger Williams predicted Friday that 36 percent of the registered voters statewide will cast ballots in Tuesday’s general election. That would be the same as four years ago. The projection is based on early voting totals, which have been large in some counties but are thought to reflect a boost only in early voting, not overall turnout.
Why only 36%? Come on, people we have to get out and vote. Most of the legislation that matters to your life happens locally not nationally.
