MySA.com:Education board hopefuls hard to find, refuse to talk

San Antonio Express-NewsThe District 3 State Board of Education race is worrisome.The two candidates in this race have not made themselves accessible and make me wonder why they are even running for office.
I have spent the last two days looking for anything on these candidates and have found nothing. You have to wonder, if we the people think education is a top issue why isn’t there a huge uproar? I understand the state board of education doesn’t have a huge glitz factor but they have much more to do with what happens in texas schools than anyone in Washington. These are the decisions that affect us and our children directly and on November 7th we are supposed to go into the polls knowing nothing about these candidates? These little races might not seem exciting but they are the ones that matter to our day to day lives, we need to pay more attention to them.
This is the only contact information I could find for Rick Agosto and Tony Cunningham. I will be writing each a letter tomorrow. I will keep you posted if I get a response.
